A Very Scary Spiderberry Halloween: Volume 2!
If you slept on last year's Very Scary Spiderberry Halloween at Vinyl Tap, you probably heard that you missed out. Luckily for you, Far Out Nashville and The Spiderberries have resurrected this event for another unholy evening of the spookiest sights and sounds fit for the undead, crafting a tradition that will frighten kiddies for decades to come. The 2018 lineup will feature Ben Ricketts, Abbey Moss, H.A.R.D., and our illustrious hometown hosts, The Spiderberries. This bill is so stacked, it will terrify small children, so please bring your friends but only if they are over 21.
Mississippi's mad scientist of art pop, Ben Ricketts will kick off the jams at 9:15, and his performance is sure to be one you won't soon forget - rumor has it that his famed candy leggings will be making an appearance. (You'll have to see it to believe it.) At 10:00 will be Abbey Moss and things are gonna get LOUD. Who knows, she might even play her catchy new single, "It's Not The End." H.A.R.D. (aka Have A Rad Day) is scheduled blow your mind at 10:45 followed by The Spiderberries knocking your socks off at 11:30 sharp (as a knife). If you caught their set last year, you know you're in for an experience.
Awe-inspiring music isn't the only thing you have to look forward to at this show! After all, what Nashville event would be complete without super-freaky visuals from Labrys Light Show? Not only will you be astounded by the horrifying sights and sounds, but there will also be specially crafted drink potions, and well as specials on Dogfish Head craft beers. To top it off, this event will be hosted at Vinyl Tap, one of Nashville's coolest spots to grab a beer and a favorite record. You won't want to miss out on the good times. But don't just take my word for it, Kari Ames, co-creator of Far Out Fest (Nashville's hottest new psych festival) says this is an evening “guaranteed to make you shiver".
Mark your calendars, and dress to impress - masks of all types are encouraged! As long as you've got a killer costume, entry to this event is free.
